Nas mãos da guardiã.. o último peixe vivo.. ela os oferece às crianças, para que reinventem o futuro com seus traços. Esse gesto evoca a própria origem de Brasilia…cidade sonho…que um dia nasceu do papel como promessa de recomeço. 

Sua roupa de retalhos não é ornamento… é memória costurada dos povos do litoral que sobreviveram a invasão...e encontraram no cerrado espaço de refugio e resistência.

Esse painel é reza e profecia… Guarda a dor dos que foram arrancados do mar e do chão, costura em retalhos a lembrança dos povos que resistiram no cerrado, e entrega às mãos das crianças o destino do rio. Como Brasilia nasceu primeiro no papel, também esses peixes sonhados anunciam que a vida pode sempre recomeçar… É canto… é memória e sopro de futuro. 

In the hands of the guardian... the last living fish... she offers them to the children, so they may reinvent the future with their strokes. This gesture evokes the very origin of Brasília... a city of dreams... that once was born on paper as a promise of new beginnings.

Her patchwork garment is not mere ornament... it is the stitched memory of the coastal peoples who survived the invasion... and found refuge and resistance in the cerrado.

This mural is both prayer and prophecy... It holds the pain of those torn from sea and land, stitches together in patches the memory of the peoples who resisted in the cerrado, and places the river’s destiny in the hands of the children. Just as Brasília was first born on paper, these dreamed fish also announce that life can always begin anew... It is song... it is memory and a breath of the future.
